Hampton Medical Devices has been serving the needs of businesses, both large and small, for over two decades. With their knowledge and expertise, Joe and Hetty Tancsa began building Hampton out of their basement in the suburbs of St. Louis Missouri. The company grew and diversified  in the surgical instrument industry, producing instruments for delicate procedures like corneal transplants and radial keratomy. By 1993, Hampton produced 250,000 1mm vent tubes annually; one of only two companies in the United States to make titanium and stainless steel tubes. Joe noted that working in the medical and precision industry is a continuous process and that there are always new challenges as new instrumentation hits the market.                                                                    
    Joe and Hetty have always believed that businesses small and large must support each other to ensure everyone has real opportunities. It has remained an American oriented manufacturing company through all of its equipment and products. As Joe remarked: "If you are able to do quality work, if you are able to deliver your product on time and if you have a price that is right, there should be no reason you can't find a market and succeed."
    By constantly refining its craftsmanship and technical knowledge, Hampton has advanced the development of precision and surgical instruments. It is currently one of the leading manufacturers of corneal trephine blades and is continually diversifying to meet the needs of its customers.
